MDS- Rural Southeast is a collective of scholars, students, intellectuals, and activist. Our actions are aimed at bringing about a true democratic society through social and political activism of the grassroots variety. Our message is clear; the system of government that we find ourselves living under today is not a Democracy. We view both political parties as essentially the same party; both being controlled by the same corporate interest. Our goal is clear; a transparent participatory democracy that truly places the power in the hands of the people.
I invite everyone who reads this to learn more and take action. If you are located in the southeastern area of Georgia, feel free to contact us and make something happen. You can no longer rely on your government to make the right decisions for you. If you aren’t from our area, go to www.movementforademocraticsociety.org and find a chapter that is. If there isn’t one, contact MDS through the website and start a chapter. Get involved! If nothing else get informed about the actions of your government.
If you’re a student in high school or college and would like to become active in the Movement, go to www.studentsforademocraticsociety.org and start a chapter at your local school.
We do no limit our membership – if you feel a need for change in the current stances taken by YOUR government; if you feel the need for freedom and democracy and a restoration of your civil liberties – then you are welcome here with us.
